Our drive starts to Kuala Selangor takes approximately 1.5 hours, passing
through small towns, kampungs and plantations. On arrival at Kuala Selangor,
visit "Kota Melawati" formerly known as "Fort Altinsburg", the execution
block, royal mausoleum and colonial buildings. The hill offers a panoramic
view Selangor coast and the Malacca straits. The hilltop is crowned by a
lighthouse and tall beautiful shady trees a haven for silvered leaf monkeys
and long tail macaques.
At dusk we drive across the bridge over the Selangor River for a seafood
dinner at the riverside restaurant while watching the a river view sunset.at
the fishing Village.
After dinner we take a 15 minutes drive to Kampung Kuantan for the highlight
of the tour. We will be rowed upstream in a small unmotorised boat (tongkang)
in the quiet darkness to witness the blinking trees. This scintillating
display of fireflies portrays an image of a flashing Christmas tree. The
synchronized, rhythmic flashing is produced by the thousands of fireflies
found in the mangrove swamp of Kampung Kuantan. The skilled local oarsmen
make this experience a memorable and an unforgettable one.

THE PERFECT GETAWAY FOR A DAY
Rising 1,500 meters above sea-level, named after a solitary Scottish
pioneer, James Fraser, who set up a tin-ore trading post in the 1890s,
Fraser's Hill is truly an idyllic place for one to rest and to escape from
not only the heat and humidity but also the hustle and bustle of city life.
It is perhaps the prettiest of the Malaysian Hill resorts.
Tudor cottages sit among brilliantly coloured gardens shaded by lofty pine
trees. Fraser's Hill is popular for its greenery, forest walks, fresh air
and exotic flower gardens, not to mention the golfing facilities.
FRASER'S HILL
Amidst the virgin tropical jungles and cool mountain air, we take a
refreshment stop at the Rest House and recover from the long winding drive.
On arrival at the top, we drive around the golf course with short stops for
photographs before proceeding to a local restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we head for the Jeriau Waterfalls - a journey which consists of
a 20 minute drive followed by a short walk through dense tropical jungle.
Take a cool refreshing swim at the waterfalls or just sit back and admire
the
awe-inspiring creations of mother nature.
TEMPLER PARK
The park is a great spot for bird watching and jungle trekking. A
picturesque setting with the million year old limestone hill of Bukit Takun
it offers jungle trails, monkeys and a cool dip at the Kancing falls or
better known as the Templer Park Falls

Just outside the city limits, these famous caverns have a main Temple Cave

performed by as many as 500,000 Hindu devotes during the annual Thaipusam
festival.

visit the ruins of the church where St Francis Xavier was once buried. Stop
at the Dutch Square with its pink colored building called Stadhuys. Nearby
is Christchurch built in 1753. Visit the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the
country's oldest Chinese temple. Take a walk along Jonkers Street where you
can buy antiques.
