Kuala Lumpur - Destinations & Sights
On the outskirts of KL City, there are a number of interesting places to visit
that is within easy reach. These include the world renowned Batu Caves, the
reputable pewter crafts of Selangor Pewter, and the Sunway Lagoon amusement and
family theme park. For Nature lovers there is the Templer's Park and the
educational FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia). For those into
buildings, architecture and beautiful structures a rewarding trip would be to
Putrajaya.

Batu Caves
A highly popular and an important devotional site and sacred place for the
Hindu's in Malaysia. The site serves as the focus of the yearly Thaipusam
Festival which attracts more than 1.5 million pilgrims, making it one of the
largest religious gathering in the country

Selangor Pewter
Visitors here get a glimpse of the pewter crafting process in the factory tour
which includes rare insights into the intricate handiwork of pewter crafting.
Shows you 'live' the different pewter production processes - casting, filing,
polishing, soldering, hammering and engraving
Sunway
Lagoon
Great place for the kids and adults. Consist of a water park and a 'dry' park
with a multitude of rides that will test your endurance to the limit. Great fun
day, for the family especially. You can even do a spot of surfing with the
artificial waves at the waterpark
Templer
Park
Situated at the fringes of Kuala Lumpur, this 1,214 hectares of forest reserve
rich in natural wilderness, attracts nature lovers, bird watchers, jungle
trekkers, photographers and picnickers.. Consisting of lowland forests with
abundant birdlife, there are waterfalls, jungle trails and a natural pool with a
740-metre hill.

FRIM - Forest Research Institute Malaysia
For visitors who wish to see and experience the wonders of a tropical forest
without the rigors of traveling to the national parks. With jungle trails and a
200 m canopy walkway suspended between trees about 30 m above ground, it offers
a back-to-nature experience whilst enjoying the flora and fauna.
Putrajaya
Of special interest to a visitor would be the architectural concepts of its
buildings, designs of its square, boulevards and bridges, the scenic lake and
the wetlands and nature parks.
