Bukit Bintang is indisputably one of the city's foremost shopping districts offering a multitude of merchandise to suit every taste and budget.
Items - jewellery, clothes, fashion accessories, footwear, sports goods, electrical equipment, watches, camera, mobile phones, IT and computer related accessories.

Sungai Wang Plaza & Bukit Bintang Plaza

One of the pioneer malls in the Bukit Bintang area or Golden Triangle, shopping here has been popular ever since the 70s and the place is still pulling the shoppers till this very day. The complex is well known for amassing an assortment of stores under one roof. Since the mall is connected to the Bukit Bintang Plaza or BB Plaza, one would have to include both when shopping.

This together gives shoppers a massive 2 million square feet of shopping. This 6 storey mall with its maze of shops and colour never fails to deliver with some of the most interesting shopping choices. Many speciality shops dominate the mall while there are no top branded outlets here.

This is one of the few places to get good deals on ladies apparel in KL. Dresses, tops, pants, skirts and more cost less than RM100. Even good tailor made business suits can be done inexpensively (Page tailors).

Younger travellers should check out the 6th floor which is called the T-Zone or Trendy Zone where mini shops cater to current trends worldwide. For IT enthusiast, the 3rd floor has an interesting selection for all things IT including DVD shops, PSP shops and internet cafes.

Low Yat Plaza
If you are an IT person or loves technology, cameras and gadgets, this is the mall you should be visiting. Specializing in electronics and IT products, it is the city’s best known spots for gadgets and gizmos.

Being around for two decades, this mall was transformed into an IT Mall in the late 90s when technology finally caught up in Malaysia. A whopping seven floors of products, each floor is almost dedicated to a specific IT section.

Divided into a series of inter-connected stores surrounding a main concourse, the mall is dedicated to stores occupying spaces that range from small-time ventures to large-scale shop lots. Toshiba, Nokia, Celcom, Sony, Digi, Microsoft, Dell, Maxis, Fotokem, HTC, Samsung, Nikon, Acer and Lenovo are just a few stores that occupy retail space here.

With 500 IT retail outlets here, IT lovers can easily spend half a day here as prices are extremely competitive and are usually negotiable. Some stores even offer computer-related services and friendly staff that are more than happy to fix your gadgets while bypassing the technical jargon. These tech experts assemble computer parts, install computer software and fix mobile phones and cameras for a nominal charge.

Berjaya Times Square
Another massive mall located just nearby the monorail stations, this all-in-one complex has over 1,000 retail stores and 65 food outlets. A popular place for teenagers and travellers as the choices of shops here seem to cater to all walks of life.

No exclusive branded shops are available here. The shopping podium doesn’t play host to designer fashion instead you’re more likely to come across a melange of affordable but unknown small time apparel boutiques.

For those looking to purchase the latest gadgets and gizmos, there is an IT Centre with over 100 shops spread over three floors that offers a variety of major tech and IT stores such as Acer, Apple, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, HTC, Lenovo, Samsung and more.

There's also a huge Food Outlet with a variety of good restaurants that offer tasty and inexpensive fare throughout the complex. The lower ground floor houses a food court with culinary options ranging from local cuisine to international fare such as Japanese and Korean specialties and another enormous food court at the 10th floor (10th Avenue Food Mall).

A unique aspect of Berjaya Times Square is the large indoor theme park which has 14 specially-designed rides including a thrilling roller coaster.

Here you can witness (and enjoy) one of the few indoor roller coasters in the world, the 800 meters long 'Supersonic Odyssey'.

Divided into themed zones, the fifth floor plays host to Galaxy Station, a section where six action-packed rides are located.

On the other hand Fantasy Garden, on the seventh floor, is a colourful ‘garden’ with eight milder, fun rides which are perfect for young kids.

Besides the indoor theme park, you can also visit the GSC MAXX (formerly IMAX) 2D & 3D theatre, the Golden Screen Cinemas, a huge 48 lanes bowling alley (Ampang Superbowl), an amusement centre, karaoke bars and even an archery.
